Industry Leadership & Advocacy
From 2021 to 2024, I served as Managing Director of Animation Guild Israel. The work was less about a single project and more about strengthening an ecosystem: growing the community, advocating for the profession and creating new connections between Israeli animation and the international industry.
Growing the Guild
During my time as Managing Director, the guild grew from 350 to more than 500 members. Beyond the number itself, the goal was to make the organization more useful and relevant to working animation professionals by strengthening communication, events, professional opportunities and the sense of an active national community.
Advocacy & Policy
I co-led a national advocacy campaign that helped change government policy and secured tax-credit eligibility for animation productions. The work required translating the needs of animation professionals into a case that institutions and decision-makers could act on, while working collectively with partners across the industry.
International Partnerships
I worked to build stronger relationships between the Israeli animation community and international festivals and organizations. This included delegations to Annecy and the development of a recurring artist residency with NEF Animation in France.
Community & Professional Development
A professional organization becomes meaningful when people feel that it creates opportunities they could not create alone. Alongside advocacy, I focused on programs and connections that brought animators together, created professional visibility and opened doors to new collaborations.
