Overview

ANIMIX brings animation to audiences through screenings, special programs, industry events and conversations with filmmakers and artists. My role sat between creative direction and production: shaping what the festival wanted to say, then building the program, partnerships and systems needed to make it happen.

Programming & Creative Direction

I led the festival’s artistic strategy and curated 100 programs featuring 250 films. The work included building thematic programs, balancing international and Israeli animation, developing special events and creating a program that could speak both to general audiences and to animation professionals.

Production & Leadership

Behind the program was a significant production operation. I managed a 20-person team and a $100K annual budget, coordinating creative ambition with schedules, venues, technical needs, communications and delivery. A major part of my role was creating clarity between many moving parts while keeping the festival’s identity consistent.

Partnerships & International Reach

I developed relationships with embassies, cultural institutions, festivals and distributors, bringing international perspectives and guests into the festival. These partnerships helped expand the program beyond individual screenings and strengthened ANIMIX’s connection to the wider animation community.

The International Competition

I conceived, launched and produced ANIMIX’s first International Competition. The initiative created a new platform for international work within the festival and helped position ANIMIX and the Israeli animation community within a broader global conversation.
