It’s Hard Now is an animated collage created for the group exhibition Things I Saw From My Window. Imagery collected around Tel Aviv becomes an endless, chaotic animated landscape.
THE CHALLENGE
I wanted to capture life in Tel Aviv without illustrating the city literally. The challenge was holding disconnected images, locations, textures, and emotions together. An animated collage lets the city continuously transform, overlap, and rebuild itself.
WHAT I DID
✦ Developed the concept
✦ Collected visual material around Tel Aviv
✦ Built the collage-based visual language
✦ Directed the piece
✦ Animated the installation
✦ Edited and composited the final work
✦ Adapted the animation for exhibition display
